Dr. Di Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), joining in October 2024. Previously, he served as a Director’s Postdoc Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (2021–2024). He holds a Ph.D. from Purdue University (2021), an M.S. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (2017), and a B.E. from Northwestern Polytechnical University (2013).
Research Focus: Functional thin films, advanced semiconductor materials and devices, microelectronics, electron microscopy, and in-situ S/TEM techniques. His work emphasizes energy-efficient memory and computing applications. Over 90 peer-reviewed articles, including in Nature Electronics and Advanced Materials, reflect his expertise.
