Di Wang is an Associate Member of the Faculty of History and former Departmental Lecturer in the History of Art at the University of Oxford (2021–2024). Their research focuses on modern Chinese visual culture, particularly the intersection of medical/scientific imagery and artistic representation of the body in 20th-century China. They hold a doctorate funded by the K. Sullivan Scholarship in Chinese Art.
Before Oxford, Wang managed international exhibitions for artist Cai Guo-Qiang in New York and has curated theatre projects recognized by the W. H. Pembroke Prize. They currently advise Neurodivergent Education for Students, Teaching & Learning (NESTL) and consult for the Oxford Researcher Hub. Teaching includes courses on Ming China's art, art and politics in Chinese history, and contemporary East Asian visual culture.
Awards include the W. H. Pembroke Prize, supported by the Pembroke Annual Art Fund and Arts Council grants. Research expertise spans History of Science, Medicine, and Technology, alongside art-historical analysis.
