Dr. Dhanesh G. Mohan is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Sunderland. He leads a research lab focused on AI-driven net-zero manufacturing, specializing in alloy design, additive manufacturing, and hybrid welding. His work integrates artificial intelligence and machine learning to innovate in manufacturing processes and materials science.
Dr. Mohan holds adjunct professorships at Lovely Professional University and Chitkara University in India. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining (FIMMM) and a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Chartered Engineer (C.Eng). His research explores advanced manufacturing techniques like Big Area Additive Manufacturing (BAAM) and hybrid friction stir welding (FSW), emphasizing mechanical, metallurgical, and corrosive properties of materials.
