Dhabaleswar Panda

Dhabaleswar Panda is a Professor and University Distinguished Scholar in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Ohio State University. He serves as Director of the NSF-AI Institute (ICICLE), a $20M initiative focused on AI and high-performance computing.

His research spans high-performance computing (HPC), AI/ML frameworks, and scalable networking solutions. He leads the Network-Based Computing Research Group, which develops:

• MVAPICH (MPI libraries for InfiniBand, RoCE, etc.) used by 3,450+ organizations and enabling TOP500 clusters
• High-Performance Deep Learning (HiDL) and Big Data (HiBD) frameworks

His work integrates GPUs, accelerators, and exascale systems for HPC, Big Data, and cloud environments.
