Dezene Huber

Dezene Huber is a Professor and ESM Undergraduate Coordinator at the University of Northern British Columbia's Faculty of Environment. He holds a PhD from Simon Fraser University and BSc from University of Calgary.

His research focuses on arthropod ecology across forest, aquatic, agricultural, and urban systems. Current projects include spruce beetle genomics, pollination ecology, agroecosystem pest dynamics, and insect biodiversity assessments.

Publications span chemical ecology, genomics, and taxonomy, with recent emphasis on bark beetle symbioses, orchid pollination gaps, and biodiversity informatics. Research often integrates molecular tools and community ecology.
