Dr. Deval Desai is a Professor of International Economic Law at the University of Edinburgh's Edinburgh Law School. He holds editorial roles in journals like the Hague Journal on the Rule of Law and leads research projects on rule of law reform, governance, and development. His work bridges legal theory, development studies, and political science, with a focus on the Global South.

Research Interests:
Deval’s work explores law and development, administrative law, and the role of knowledge in institutional reform. His recent projects include studies on fiscal underspending in India, constitutional dynamics in conflict zones, and post-comparative area studies.
