Dr. Desiree Loreth is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Cellular and Integrative Physiology within the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. Her work spans molecular mechanisms in kidney physiology, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer metastasis.
Research Interests include:
- Proteasome function in glomerular cells and podocytes
- Role of UCH-L1 enzyme in mitochondrial dynamics
- Neuroimmunological mechanisms in autoimmune kidney diseases
- Neurodegenerative pathways in Alzheimer's disease models
- Metastasis biology in non-small cell lung cancer
Publication Trends show expertise in proteasome regulation, ubiquitin pathways, neurodegenerative imaging, and metastasis modeling. Collaborations with Prof. Christine Meyer-Schwesinger and Prof. Martin Meyer-Luehmann highlight interdisciplinary approaches.
