Deserai Anderson Crow is a Professor in the School of Public Affairs at the University of Colorado Denver. She serves as Program Director for the Doctor of Philosophy in Public Affairs and Co-Directs the Center for Community Safety and Resilience. Dr. Crow holds a PhD in Environmental Policy from Duke University, a Master of Public Administration from CU Denver, and a BS in Journalism from CU Boulder.
Her research focuses on community resilience to climate risks and disasters, emphasizing vulnerabilities, recovery outcomes, and cross-sector collaboration in policy processes. She specializes in state/local environmental policy, disaster response, and stakeholder engagement, with ongoing NSF-funded projects on flood recovery, wildfire mitigation, and COVID-19 policy impacts.
