معرفی
Professor Dermot Brabazon is Full Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Dublin City University's School of Mechanical Engineering. As Director of the Advanced Processing Technology Research Centre and co-founder of I-Form Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre, he researches laser processing, additive manufacturing, and nanomaterial synthesis for industrial applications.
His work spans laser surface modification, nanoparticle production via ablation, 3D printing optimization, and separation science for biological detection. Current industrial collaborations focus on quality control systems for battery electrode manufacturing and sustainable material processing. Professor Brabazon has secured ≈€19M in PI funding from EU, EPSRC, and industry partners.
Recognitions include Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (2015), Invent Commercialization Awards (2015, 2017), and AMPT Gold Medal (2018). He directs Ireland's participation in the Advanced Metallic Systems CDT and serves on editorial boards for Biomaterials Advances and Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Medicine.
