Dennis Lockhart is a distinguished Professor of the Practice at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, part of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts at Georgia Institute of Technology. He holds a prominent academic and professional background spanning academia, government, and the private sector. His career includes roles as President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta (2007–2017), where he contributed to U.S. monetary policy through the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).
Prior to his Federal Reserve tenure, Lockhart taught at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service, chaired master’s programs in global commerce and international business-government relations, and served as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies.
