Dennis G. Shea is the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies and Outreach and Professor of Health Policy and Administration at the College of Health and Human Development, Pennsylvania State University. He holds roles in academic integrity oversight and serves on graduate advisory committees. His education includes a M.Phil. in Economics from Jesus College, Cambridge University (1985), and a M.A. (1987) and Ph.D. (1990) in Economics from Rutgers University.
Dr. Shea's research focuses on health economics, aging populations, long-term care economics, Medicare policy, and mental health services for the elderly. His work examines cost structures in nursing homes, prescription drug utilization patterns, and the impact of public health policies like Medicaid and Medicare.
