Dr. Dennis Felder is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of the Sport Management program in the Department of Health, Physical Education and Sports Studies at Winston-Salem State University. His extensive community engagement includes board memberships with The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina and Winston-Salem Recreation and Parks Commission.
Dr. Felder's educational background includes:
- PhD in Curriculum & Instruction/Athletic Administration from Kansas State University (1982)
- MS in Athletic Administration from Kansas State University (1976)
- BS in Health, Physical Education Recreation and Dance from Alcorn State University (1974)
His research spans Sport Management, Athletic Administration, and Physical Education with emphasis on National Letter of Intent processes, coaching strategies, and student athlete motivation. Recent work examines internship development and financial aspects of sport management careers, reflecting his commitment to practical career preparation.
