Deniz Haydar

Dr. Deniz Haydar is an Assistant Professor in Biology Education at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences, specializing in the methodology of teaching biology and marine ecology. They hold a PhD in Marine Biology and have contributed extensively to research on invasive species, coastal ecosystems, and interdisciplinary education approaches. Current roles include chairing the biology determination committee for pre-vocational secondary education, membership in the NIBI conference organizing committee, and participation in the KNAW onderwijsprijs selection committee.

Research focuses on bridging marine ecological studies with educational methodologies, particularly in addressing bioinvasions and environmental policy.
