Deniz Avcı is an Associate Professor (Doç. Dr.) in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi. Specializing in architectural history with a focus on 20th-century Modern Movement architecture, healthcare architecture, and cultural heritage conservation, their research bridges historical analysis with interdisciplinary approaches including film archives. Current projects include documenting Turkey’s sanatorium heritage and mid-century medical architecture.
