Denise Gemmellaro, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at Kean University's College of Science, Mathematics and Technology within the Department of Biological Sciences. Her research focuses on forensic entomology, molecular biology, and entomotoxicology, leveraging insects like blow flies (Calliphora vicina) to determine postmortem intervals and detect toxins.
