Professor Denes Szucs is a prominent academic at the University of Cambridge, where he serves as Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology in the Department of Psychology. He is also the Deputy Director of the Centre for Neuroscience in Education and an Official Fellow at Darwin College, Cambridge. His academic journey began at Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Hungary, where he earned both his 5-year MSc in Psychology (Experimental Specialization) in 1998 and his PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2003.
Szucs's research primarily focuses on numerical cognition, developmental dyscalculia, mathematics anxiety, and research reproducibility. His work bridges cognitive neuroscience, psychology, and education, with particular emphasis on mathematical development and learning difficulties.
