Demet GÜLALDI is an Assistant Professor at the Child Development Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Uskudar University. She holds a PhD in Psychology (Developmental Psychology) from Maltepe University (2021) and a Master’s degree in the same field (2013). Her academic journey began with a BSc in Child Development and Education from Hacettepe University (1985). She actively engages in research, teaching, and administrative duties at Uskudar University.

Her research focuses on child development, developmental psychology, children with special needs, attachment theory, and positive parenting. She has contributed to studies on maternal sensitivity, ADHD, and the impacts of early intervention programs.
Recent publications and presentations highlight her work in cross-cultural fatherhood studies, maternal stress, and support systems for children with disabilities. Her collaborations span international projects, including EU-funded initiatives and UNICEF partnerships.
Demet supervises graduate theses and participates in academic conferences, such as the ISEI Early Childhood Intervention Conference and EECERA Annual Conference. She also contributes to administrative roles, including Erasmus Department Coordination and research group leadership.
