Delphine Tuot

Delphine Tuot, MD is a Professor of Medicine and Interim Division Chief of Nephrology at UCSF's Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG), where she also serves as Associate Chief Medical Officer for Specialty Care and Director of the UCSF Center for Innovation in Access and Quality. She holds dual appointments in the School of Medicine's Department of Medicine and the Center for Vulnerable Populations. Her clinical and research focuses include chronic kidney disease (CKD) management in primary care settings, implementation science for health equity, and electronic consultation (eConsult) systems to improve specialty care access. Dr. Tuot leads NIH- and foundation-funded studies addressing disparities in CKD outcomes, patient self-management strategies, and scalable interventions for vulnerable populations. She has pioneered eConsult programs to enhance communication between primary care and nephrology teams.
