Dejan Veljković

Dr. Dejan Veljković is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechatronics, Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak, University of Kragujevac, where he has been engaged since September 2024. His academic appointment was confirmed by Decision No. IV-04-559/6 of July 10, 2024, from the Council for Technical and Technological Sciences of the University of Kragujevac for the narrow scientific field of Production Technology.

Dr. Veljković's research spans multiple engineering disciplines with particular focus on experimental research, identification, modeling and simulation of material characteristics. His work encompasses thermoviscoplasticity of steel and composites, hyperelastic properties of rubber and soft tissues, and numerical methods for nonlinear optimization in applied mechanics. He has made significant contributions to vibrodiagnostics, particularly in developing recursive algorithms for harmonic separation in non-stationary conditions (order tracking) for diagnosing failures in rotating machinery components.

His publication record shows a clear progression from fundamental material science research in the late 1990s toward increasingly specialized applications in mechanical diagnostics and biomechanics.
