Deepak D'Souza is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Automation at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. He has been actively involved in research and teaching in theoretical computer science, particularly focusing on program verification, static analysis, and formal methods. His work bridges theoretical foundations with practical applications in software engineering and verification.
His research interests span program verification, static analysis, model-checking, and models and logics for real-time systems. D'Souza has made significant contributions to automata theory, particularly in its applications to verification problems. He co-edited the book 'Modern Applications of Automata Theory' published by World Scientific, which focuses on verification and model checking technologies. His recent work shows a strong emphasis on logical LTL games, controller synthesis, and verification of embedded systems.
