Debra K. Sullivan

Debra K. Sullivan, Ph.D., RD, is currently the Department Chair and Midwest Dairy Endowed Professor of Clinical Nutrition in the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition at the University of Kansas School of Health Professions.

• Undergraduate and master’s degrees in nutrition and medical dietetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago
• Doctorate in nutritional sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

Her research focuses on:

• Quantitative methods for measuring dietary intake
• Behavioral interventions for health improvement
• Obesity prevention in pediatric populations
• Weight management strategies for adults
• Neuroprotective effects of nutrition in aging
• Postoperative pain management through dietary approaches
