Deborah Ziebarth serves as Professor in the RN-BSN Program and Chair of the Institutional Review Board at Mary Baldwin University's Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences, where she recently facilitated CCNE accreditation for four DNP programs including Nurse Anesthesiology and Family Nurse Practitioner tracks.
Her academic foundation includes a BSN and MSN in Nursing Education from Cardinal Stritch University and a Doctorate in Nursing Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, complemented by board certification in Faith Community Nursing. Educational milestones reflect specialized training in nursing pedagogy and philosophical research frameworks.
Research expertise centers on Faith Community Nursing with pioneering contributions including the Theoretical Model of Faith Community Nursing and Spiritual Care Nursing Professional Certificate development. Work spans Critical Care Nursing, Community Health, and Global Health domains, emphasizing transitional care models and community-based program design through initiatives like the FCN Transitional Care Program.
Award recognition includes the Herzing University Faculty Scholarship (2012), American Hospital Association's Nova Award (2006), Volunteer Hospital Association's Best in Class Award (2008), and Wisconsin Nursing Association's Face of Nursing Award (2010), highlighting national impact in community health programming.
