Deborah Salon is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University's School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning and Senior Global Futures Scientist. Her research analyzes urban transportation systems using econometric modeling, GIS, and behavioral surveys.
Research tracks include: (1) Travel behavior and built environment interactions, (2) Climate policy for transportation, and (3) Equity in mobility systems. Recent projects examine car-free communities, telecommuting persistence, and pandemic-induced travel changes.
Methodologies integrate discrete choice modeling, large-scale survey design, and spatial analysis of transportation emissions.
