Deborah J. Lucas is the Sloan Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Sloan School of Management, focusing on measuring the costs and risks of government financial obligations. She is affiliated with the Markets (M) network and contributes to research in finance and economics.
- B.A., M.A., Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago (1980, 1983, 1986)
Her research spans asset pricing, corporate finance, monetary economics, and financial institutions, with a recent emphasis on analyzing government financial obligations. She has co-organized the Capital Markets and the Economy group at the NBER and served as a director at the American Finance Association.
