Deborah-Eve Lombard is a Lecturer in the Art Department at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She holds an ABD in American Studies, and dual Master's degrees in American Studies and African American World Studies from The University of Iowa, alongside a BFA from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Her work focuses on art education, Indigenous art (particularly Ho-Chunk artist Truman Lowe), and community engagement. Recent activities include organizing the Art Open House (Oct 2024) and presenting at the Wisconsin Art Education Conference on integrating Ho-Chunk art into K-12 curricula. She received the 2021 Distinguished Service Award from the Wisconsin Art Education Association for her work on the Truman Lowe Exhibit and related community initiatives.
Lombard is actively involved in university exhibitions like the 3rd Congressional District Art Competition and art-science collaborations. Her office hours are held Monday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to noon.
