Deborah Carpenter

Deborah Carpenter is a Senior Lecturer and Senior Faculty Academic Advisor at the Oxford Brookes Business School. She coordinates the year-round Pre-sessional English course, oversees academic advising processes, and teaches modules such as Research and Language, and Advanced English Language and Communication Skills. Her roles involve ensuring student success through program management, tutor collaboration, and advising approximately 25 students annually.

Research interests focus on international student mental health, culture shock, and the development of lifelong skills through teaching methodologies.
