Professor Deborah Cameron holds the Rupert Murdoch Professorship of Language and Communication at the University of Oxford. She is affiliated with Worcester College and the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology & Phonetics, based at the Clarendon Institute. Her research focuses on sociolinguistics, particularly the interplay between language and gender, language ideologies, linguistic normativity, and discourse analysis.
