Deborah Blenkhorn

Deborah Blenkhorn is a full-time Lecturer in the Department of English at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, where she has taught since 1998. She holds a BA, BEd, and MA from Queen's University.

• Teaching areas: Academic writing, literary analysis, genre studies, and English literature from the 14th to 20th centuries
• Experience includes teaching at University of British Columbia (English Department, Sauder Melville School of Business, Faculty of Engineering, Experience University Life program, Extended Learning) and Segal Graduate Melville School of Business at Simon Fraser University
• Current projects: Developing a literary analysis textbook

Her research interests focus on pedagogical approaches to university writing instruction and literary analysis, with a career spanning academic writing instruction and creative nonfiction.

She teaches both online and in-person courses including: ENGQ 1099, ENGL 1100, WRTG 1100, ENGL 1202, ENGL 1204, ENGL 2300, ENGL 2309, ENGL 2316, and ENGL 2317.
