Debora Verniz

Debora Verniz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Studies at the University of Missouri. She co-directs the ILab and Fabrication Lab, focusing on Design and Computation research.

Her research specializes in shape grammars, parametric design, immersive environments, and digital fabrication for equitable spatial solutions. Recent projects include frameworks for accessible housing and computational compliance checking in healthcare facilities.

Debora teaches Design Studios and computing/digital fabrication courses, emphasizing adaptive problem-solving. She mentors in the ASH Scholars program for the Art of Death project and collaborates with graduate researchers in her labs.
