Debora Lanzeni is a Research Fellow at the Department of Human Centred Computing, Monash University. She leads the Work Futures research program in the Emerging Technologies Research Lab and co-directs the Urban Computing Lab. Her work focuses on how emerging technologies configure contemporary societies, with expertise in future anthropology, science and technology studies (STS), and design ethnography.

Research interests include tech design, digital learning, automation in work environments, and Industry 5.0. She employs ethnographic methods to study tech developers' imaginations, healthcare automation, and platform workers' algorithmic adaptation.
Recent publications explore futures anthropology and design ethnography, with key outputs including the 2023 book An Anthropology of Futures and Technologies. Her work addresses interdisciplinary futures research and sociotechnical systems.
