Rev. Dr. Debora Jackson is a Professor of Practice in Organizational Behavior and Change at The Business School, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Previously, she served as the Dean of The Business School from January 2021 to May 2025, during which she spearheaded significant academic growth, including the launch of the nation’s first Financial Technology (FinTech) degree programs across all levels. Her research focuses on leadership through spiritual practices and womanist frameworks, emphasizing equity and community impact.
Education: Doctor of Ministry (Leadership), Master of Divinity (Spirituality), Master of Engineering (Manufacturing Engineering), Master of Science (Management), and Bachelor of Science (Business).
Research interests include womanist leadership, leadership development in faith-based organizations, and integrating STEM with business education. Awards include the 2016 Illumination Book Silver Medal for her 2015 publication Spiritual Practices for Effective Leadership. Her work bridges theological and organizational practices, with a focus on marginalized voices and systemic justice.
