Debora Farber

Debora Farber is a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She holds the Karl Kirchgessner Endowed Chair in Ophthalmology and has been a faculty member since 1977. Dr. Farber is affiliated with multiple research institutes, including the Jules Stein Eye Institute (JSEI), Brain Research Institute, and Molecular Biology Institute.

Dr. Farber's research focuses on biochemistry and molecular biology of the retina, particularly diseases affecting it. She has contributed to understanding cyclic nucleotide regulation in retinal processes and advanced vision science through her work at UCLA's Vision Science Division. Her research spans neuroscience and molecular biology applications in ophthalmology.
