Debbie A. Thurneck

Dr. Debbie A. Thurneck is a Clinical Professor and licensed psychologist at East Carolina University (ECU), serving as Director of the PASS Clinic and Director of Clinical Training for the Pediatric School Psychology Program. Her primary roles involve supervising and training graduate students in clinical and school psychology. She holds a PsyD from James Madison University, an MEd from the University of Virginia, and a BA in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia.

Her clinical interests focus on family-school-medical partnerships, psychological assessment, and treating internalizing disorders in youth. Prior to ECU, she directed the Psychology and Social Work Clinic at Ohio University and worked in private practice.
