Debasis Kundu

Debasis Kundu is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). He holds a PhD in Statistics from Pennsylvania State University, where his thesis focused on estimating parameters of exponential signals in the presence of noise, under the supervision of Prof. C.R. Rao.

His research expertise lies in Statistical Signal Processing, Distribution Theory, and Lifetime Data Analysis. These areas encompass theoretical and applied statistics, particularly in modeling and analyzing complex data patterns, reliability analysis, and signal extraction from noisy environments.

Prof. Kundu is actively involved in teaching and research at IIT Kanpur, contributing to both academic programs and scholarly advancements in statistical sciences.
