Deanna Trella

Dr. Deanna Trella is a Professor and Program Director of Children's Studies at Eastern Washington University. She holds a PhD in Sociology from Bowling Green State University, with a focus on family and marriage, and minors in quantitative research methods. Her expertise spans child and family homelessness, adolescent development, and family dynamics. She actively partners with local agencies like the Spokane Public School System and the Inland Northwest Community Foundation to improve outcomes for vulnerable youth. Dr. Trella also serves on the Sacred Heart Children’s Health Council and volunteers in community outreach initiatives.
