Deanna Haunsperger serves as John E. Sawyer Professor of Liberal Learning and Professor of Mathematics in Carleton College's Department of Mathematics and Statistics, where she has taught since 1994. Research interests center on mathematics education innovation and systemic support for underrepresented groups. She pioneered the Carleton Summer Mathematics Program for Women (1995-2014), creating structured mentorship pathways that significantly increased female participation in mathematics degrees.
