DeMisty Bellinger-Delfeld is a Professor in the Department of English Studies at Fitchburg State University's School of Arts and Sciences. A multi-genre writer and educator, her work intersects African-American literature, women's studies, and creative writing pedagogy for marginalized communities.

Her research explores:
- Working-class narratives and cultural heritage
- Black feminist perspectives in speculative fiction
- Creative nonfiction centered on identity formation
- Ekphrastic poetry engaging historical art
Recent publications span themes from lunar symbolism to diaspora experiences. She has received recognition including Pushcart nominations and a Best Small Fictions 2019 selection. As editor at Porcupine Literary and Malarkey Books, she supports emerging writers.
