Dawn Taylor

Dawn Taylor is a Professor at the Portland-Metro Campus, specializing in Medical Laboratory Science. She holds a Master of Science degree in Adult Education/Organization and Human Resource Education from Oregon State University (2014) and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Illinois State University (1986).

Research Interests: Dawn focuses on hematology, hemostasis, and urinalysis within clinical laboratory science, alongside educational methodology in adult learning and organizational development. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes adaptability and continuous improvement, stating that “change is never static” and educators must evolve to meet diverse student needs.

Professional Background: Certified as MT(ASCP) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, she has extensive experience in clinical chemistry, hematology, and hemostasis from roles at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois and Oregon Health and Science University.
