Dawn Swain

Dawn Swain is an Assistant Dean in the Office of Experiential Education and Assistant Clinical Professor at Northeastern University's Bouvé College of Health Sciences, Department of Pharmacy and Health Systems Sciences. She holds a PharmD from Northeastern University (2005) and has extensive experience in ambulatory care, anticoagulation management, and patient safety research.

Her research focuses on optimizing medication safety through pharmacist-led interventions, particularly in anticoagulant therapy and opioid management for elderly populations. She has published in J Gen Intern Med on pharmacist interventions for direct oral anticoagulants.

Certifications include Anticoagulation Therapy Management (University of Southern Indiana) and Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery (APhA).
