Dawn Marie Haughey, DNP, MSN, CPNP-PC is an Adjunct Professor in the Nursing Department at Iona College, located at Brunn-Maier Hall on the Bronxville Campus. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from SUNY Upstate Medical University and a Master of Science in Nursing Pediatrics from Columbia University School of Nursing. Her clinical practice focuses on pediatric care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with expertise in hematology/oncology and adolescent health.
Research interests emphasize adolescent mental health, particularly the psychological impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on students and educators. She has contributed to nursing education through roles as a skills lab/simulation instructor and clinical instructor at Dominican College. Her work was showcased at the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners' (NAPNAP) 42nd National Conference, addressing school personnel’s awareness of mental health challenges during the pandemic.
Dr. Haughey has secured notable grants and scholarships, including the Senator McGee Nursing Faculty Scholarship and funding from the Health Resources & Service Administration Behavioral Health Workforce Education and Training Grant. She actively volunteers with People to People, Inc. and serves on Leadership Rockland.
