David Zeller serves as an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Sociology Department at the University of Tampa, teaching courses including Applied Sociology, Introduction to Sociology, Introductory Data Science, Research Methods, Social Stratification, Sociology of Deviance, and Tampa Bay as a Sociological Laboratory.

His research spans social psychology, social movements, environmental and urban sociology, and deviance, with methodological expertise in both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Current projects examine Tampa Bay community engagement, environmental technology discourse within U.S. movements, and public housing displacement experiences. He actively contributes to the Tampa Bay Estuary Program's Social Science Subcommittee.
