معرفی
David Wong is a Professor at the Molecular Biology Institute of the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His research focuses on salivary diagnostics for oral and systemic diseases, leveraging genomic, proteomic, and metabolomic technologies. He pioneered the "Oral Fluid NanoSensor Test (OFNASET)" for point-of-care disease detection and contributed to the discovery of salivary extracellular RNA for liquid biopsy applications. His work spans cancer pathogenesis, stem cell differentiation, and diagnostic alphabets (proteome, transcriptome, micro-RNA, metabolome, microbiome).
- NIH Extracellular RNA Communication Consortium member
- Developed EFIRM technology for circulating tumor DNA detection
- Researcher in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma genomics
- Studied CDK2-AP1's role in cell cycle regulation
- Contributed to salivary exosome research for biomarker delivery
His publications highlight non-invasive diagnostics, oral cancer progression, and pancreatic disease biomarkers. Key collaborations include institutions like NIH, Harvard, and the University of Copenhagen. His 2012 review on salivaomics and 2009 work on CDK2-AP1 remain foundational.
