David Weisburd

David Weisburd holds joint tenured appointments as Distinguished Professor of Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University and Walter E. Meyer Professor of Law and Criminal Justice at the Hebrew University. He directs the Center for Evidence Based Crime Policy and serves as a senior fellow at the Police Foundation, chairing its Research Advisory Committee. His expertise spans crime at place, white collar crime, policing strategies, illicit markets, terrorism, and criminal justice statistics. He has received prestigious awards, including the Stockholm Prize in Criminology (2010) and the Klachky Family Prize (2011).

Research interests include experimental criminology, evidence-based policy, and the spatial dynamics of crime. His work bridges theory and practice, informing policing strategies and criminal justice reforms globally.
