David Webb is an Associate Professor at the UWA Business School, University of Western Australia. He holds roles such as Convenor of the UWA Modern Slavery Research Cluster (2021–2023) and Co-Founder of the UWA FABLE Modern Slavery Research Cluster. His expertise spans regenerative business, planetary health, and quality of life (QOL) research. He has held international academic and industry positions, including roles in Germany, the Far East, the US, and South Africa.
Education: PhD in Expectation Psychology (University of Wales, 1995).
Research interests include regenerative business frameworks, self-determination theory applications, sustainable consumption, and modern slavery mitigation strategies. His work bridges marketing and societal well-being, with a focus on policy implications for organizations. Collaborations include international partners like the University of Leeds and Sheffield University.
Notable awards include the Distinguished Research Fellow title from ISQOLS (2010) and the 2015 JPPM/Kinnear Award. His advisory work addresses modern slavery compliance under Australia’s 2019 Modern Slavery Act.
Grants include the ARC Linkage award (2010) for energy-saving behavior research. He supervises PhD candidates like Juanyi Liu, focusing on agritourism strategies.
