David Waller

David Waller is a Senior Lecturer in American Politics at the University of Northampton with expertise in Anglo-American relations and local history. Educated at Oxford (BA) and London (MA), he joined the university in 1992 and now teaches within the Politics and International Relations program.

His research focuses on diplomatic history between Britain and America, particularly during the Victorian era, alongside scholarly work on Northamptonshire's local history. Publications examine historical figures like Abraham Lincoln, campaign finance in US elections, and global advertising regulations. Waller serves as chair of the Northampton Branch of The Historical Association and is a school governor.
