David W. Berger is a Professor of Economics at Duke University and a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). He has been an active Cluster member of ECONtribute since 2020, holding the position of ECONtribute Research Fellow.
Education:
- PhD in Economics from Yale University (2012)
His research spans Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Housing Economics, Labor Economics, and Financial Economics, with particular emphasis on distributional effects across these interconnected fields. Current work examines how macroeconomic and monetary policies impact housing markets, labor dynamics, and financial systems through heterogeneous agent frameworks.

Professor Berger serves as Associate Editor for the Journal of the European Economic Association and the Review of Economic Dynamics.
