David Thompson

David Thompson is a Professor in the Educational Leadership and Policy Studies department at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he served as department chair from 2005-2012. He has a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University, with a dissertation on job satisfaction research in educational leadership that earned dual outstanding awards from AERA Division A and NCPEA.

His research focuses on educator ethics, sexual misconduct prevention, education policy, and school administration. He has published extensively on topics ranging from educator liability cases to teacher burnout and efficacy, with a particular emphasis on legal frameworks and organizational dynamics.
