David Scharf serves as Professor of Theology at Martin Luther College, where he also acts as Assistant Coach for the Men’s Golf team. Based in office WCC 231, he trains future called workers for the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) within the Theology academic division.
His educational background includes:

Scharf’s expertise centers on practical Lutheran theology, integrating pastoral ministry with evangelism strategies. Prior to academia, Scharf served at Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in Greenville, WI (2005-2016), while holding key synod positions: Northern Wisconsin District Evangelism coordinator and Commission on Congregational Counseling chairman. He actively mentors students for WELS pastoral and teaching vocations.
