David Sachs is a Professor in the Department of Information Technology at Pace University's Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, based at the Westchester campus. His office is located in the Goldstein Academic Center (Room 324), with contact email dsachs@pace.edu and phone (914) 773-3319. Office hours are held Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
Education:
Dr. Sachs holds an EdD (1978) and M.Ed. (1977) in Educational Administration from Columbia University, an MA in English from New York University (1970), and a BA in Philosophy from Colgate University (1969).
Research Focus:
His primary research explores telehealth innovations for aging populations, social media applications, and online education frameworks. He has led federally funded projects like the Telehealth Intervention Program for Seniors (TIPS), expanding community-based health monitoring through technology. Current initiatives include developing hybrid telehealth delivery models and hardware solutions for home-based care.
