David Rosenberg serves as Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Wayne State University. His research focuses on identifying neurobiological markers of pediatric obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) using multimodal neuroimaging and genetic techniques to understand pathogenesis and develop new interventions.
Dr. Rosenberg's research spans pediatric OCD, neuroimaging (MRI/fMRI/MRS), psychiatric genetics, and child psychiatry. He investigates glutamate dysregulation, structural abnormalities in fronto-striatal-thalamocortical circuits, and genetic contributions to OCD pathogenesis through volumetric MRI, spectroscopy, and genetic assessment.
Recent publications reveal strong emphasis on large-scale genetic studies of OCD, development of clinical assessment tools (OCI-CV-R, OCI-CV-5), and exploration of immune-microbiome mechanisms. His work integrates neuroimaging with genetic data to identify biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment.
He directs the David Rosenberg Laboratory and collaborates with researchers at the University of Toronto, University of Michigan, and other institutions. Key collaborators include Vaibhav Diwadkar, Jeffrey A Stanley, Paul Arnold, Jim Kennedy, and Greg Hanna.
